DeKalb Medical Training Coordinator in Decatur, Georgia

THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT PRN POSITION WITH NO BENEFITS WILL WORK 2 AND A HALF DAYS PER WEEK

JOB SUMMARY:

The Training Coordinator/Instructor is an entry level educator position in the Organization Development & Learning department at DeKalb Medical. Position handles training support functions for the department and the employees of DeKalb Medical. Position also delivers assigned classes, including General Orientation and staff in-services.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Coordinates materials preparation and assists with the delivery of the General Orientation program.

  • Provides user support (non-IT issues) for the NetLearning modules: Student Interface, NetManager and Learning Administrator.

  • Sets up new users

  • Assigns CBLs to new employees

  • Assists users for all system modues

  • Serves as department webmaster

  • Delivers staff development training classes as assigned. Assists other department members in the development of new classes.

  • Coordinates administrative functions for the department including:

  • Ordering office supplies

  • assisting the department director with special projects

  • coordinating posting of meeting room schedules each week

  • coordinate education video checkout program

  • Coordinates annual High Priority Room Reservation process

  • Coordinates the work of department volunteers

  • Assists department members in their organization development coaching processes

  • Supports the functions of the Education Services department by serving as backup in several areas, as needed.

  1. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and teams.

  2. Participates in supporting the organization’s vision, mission and values and adheres to DeKalb Medical Standards of Behavior.

  3. Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of DeKalb Medical.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education, Experience and Licensure Required:

  • High School diploma, 4 year college degree preferred.

  • Experience training in informal or formal classroom setting.

  • 3+ years work experience in an office environment.

  • 1+ years experience in working with a Learning Management System (LMS).

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong customer focus essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong basic computer skills including MS Word and MS PowerPoint, skill with MS Excel and MS Publisher desirable.
