Job Title Financial Analysis Specialist 1 Organization Central Business Job Description The Program Planning and Controls Analyst is an entry level individualcontributor position, reports to the Finance Manager, and works closelywith the other Finance and Engineering teams. As a member of the FinanceOrganization, the Analyst will be part of a collaborative group, wherepeople are willing to step out of their roles to ensure ULA's success in themarketplace. The Program Planning and Controls Analyst participates in theplanning, tracking, analysis and Cost/Schedule reporting on multipleprojects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk.Employee must possess the ability to meet critical deadlines, whileproducing aFinance Team Imperatives include: Driving Business Results, Protection andsupport to ULA, Improvement of Productivity, Development of the Team andShaping the future.ULA Job DescriptionPerforms economic research and studies subjects such as rates of return,depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expensecomparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements.Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Develops,maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financialinformation systems considering such things as information flow, volume,and document format for data processing equipment. May provide analysis onbusiness development and may monitor business performance by unit, divisionor brand. Prepares financial plans, monitors implementation of financialpolicies, allowability of costs, prepares regular and special purposereports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes costrates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policiesand procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs againstbudgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs andbudget Functional Job Description Safety to Self and Others: Must be able to perform all assignedtasks in a safe manner.
