Bayer Customer Logistics Representative II in Edison Lakes, Indiana
Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Customer Logistics Representative II, are to:
Process customer orders, including the effective resolution of pricing and the prevention of pricing issues, product availability, and other potential problems;
Operate in conjunction with sales representatives, customers, brokers, and internal departments for contract management, distribution, transportation and product supply which applies to multiple functions served by the Customer Logistics Service Center (CLSC) such as Consumer Care, Medical Care (Diabetes Care and R&I) and Pharmaceuticals;
Demonstrate proficiency in all applicable systems currently utilized by the Divisions and versions of SAP (i.e. U3P legacy, P2R and U8P legacy);
Understand different business nomenclature used by the Direct Retail, Drug Wholesaler, Physician and Hospital, Scientific Supply Distributors as well as other customer categories including but not limited to Managed Care, Federal Government, Buying Groups, GPO’s, etc;
Generate sales using Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) systems for multiple divisions with selected accounts to meet customer inventory and in stock requirements;
Interface with seasonal Promotional Buy Indices (PBIs), Information Resources Inc. (IRI) data, Flu/cold/respiratory illness Activity Notification (FAN) data and forecasting models to generate incremental sales;
Forecast systems of NeoGrid, Manugistics, Agentrics, E3 and OBI related data base management programs;
Resolve customer deductions related to orders/order errors in a timely manner;
Follow-up, as appropriate, with sales representatives, customers, and internal personnel to correct root causes and prevent reoccurrence along with all subsequent collections activities;
Manage customer and sales organization relationships for assigned accounts which includes responsibilities for facilitating effective resolution of customer issues, professionally handling various types of customer orders and requests, listening for and capturing customer feedback to utilize for improvement opportunities, utilizing systems to accurately track equipment records, and supporting all field team requests;
Demonstrate understanding of customer requirements, proactive communication, and resolution of issues, problem prevention, and goal alignment with the sales organization towards achieving customer focused goals;
Manage account in conjunction with sales including all supply chain related activities (i.e. generation of sales activities) which requires periodic travel with sales representatives for face-to-face meetings with accounts and participation on business teams, providing Contract Reviews, generating quotes, pricing reports, providing contract information, etc., updating SAP equipment records with appropriate warranty, extended warranty, customer and corporate information as required;
Responsible for answering and responding to customer inquiries, orders and issues for various inbound toll-free 800# including Consumer Care, Medical Care, Managed Care, and all associated Literature and programs supporting all Divisions.

Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field of study or current internal CLSC employee with relevant experience;
Two (2) plus years of experience or work in several relevant internship programs if candidate is a current college student;
Possess knowledge of SAP and any associated upgrades with Divisions, Oracle Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Analysis, Siebel On Demand (Sales Rep Demo Orders Processing System), Siebel OnPremise (Demographic and Fulfillment for end users), Vistex Contracting System, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transaction sets (customer versus Bayer capabilities);
Demonstrated understanding of Transportation and Distribution related concepts in carrier assignment and distribution or product supply chains and customer pipelines;
Demonstrated understanding of policies and procedures with the ability to recognize and optimize distribution channels that support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial expenses;
Must be well versed in the Credit field of disciplines recognizing cost of terms, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and dispute resolution impact;
Highly developed analytical skills and use of supporting software (i.e. Office and SAP);
Must be highly skilled and experienced in dealing with multiple levels of internal and external personnel for BHC, external Customers and Third Party entities;
Demonstrated experience interfacing with Customer personnel in negotiating, developing joint business plans, sales plans and the settlement of disputes with Buyers, ReBuyers, Accounts Payable Managers, and Senior Management involved in Purchasing, Retail Store Operations, Contracting, Warehousing, Distribution and Transportation.
