Armstrong World Industries (AWI) has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Lancaster, PA. The Talent Acquisition Specialist position will play a critical role in bringing exceptional talent into AWI. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will focus on college recruitment for internship and entry-level positions, applicant tracking system (ATS) support, employment branding, talent acquisition metrics, and diversity hiring outreach to support the talent acquisition process within the Talent Management team.
Key Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist:
Owning and communicating the college recruitment strategy to the business and Human Resources Business Partners, along with continuously updating the strategy to meet ongoing business changes
Creating and communicating a semi-annual college recruitment scorecard
Partnering with business leaders to create, execute and lead college/university relationships and hiring initiatives including yearly planning with functional teams, school selection, career fair coordination and on-site hiring events
Leading “Career Cornerstone” and other events to provide education and networking opportunities for new college hires
Leading the design and creation of all career fair and college event booths, materials, and other branded documents
Leading the deployment of our employer branding strategy throughout our careers site, college recruitment, social media efforts and overall recruitment process
Partnering with Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider on sourcing efforts including LinkedIn and talent community outreach
Participating in recruitment strategy discussions (RSD) for full-time positions
Analyzing new hire, hiring manager, candidate experience, and employee exit surveys for trends and opportunities
Reviewing, analyzing and reporting on sourcing successes
Creating and communicating a monthly talent acquisition scorecard
Annually reviewing Talent Acquisition procedures and updating them as needed
Acting as the Equal Employment Opportunity coordinator, supporting affirmative action outreach activities with minority, disability and veteran organizations, and annual review of affirmative action plans
Identifying on-campus diversity organizations for recruitment partnerships
Tracking system issues and enhancement requests for review/resolution by technical teams
Responding to ATS system inquiries, troubleshooting issues, providing ongoing technical and user support, and acting as project lead for ATS system upgrades and fixes
Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and training materials
Ensuring applicant tracking process complies with federal employment regulations and reporting requirements
Creating and maintaining templates for offer letters, electronic correspondence and ATS home page content
Performing monthly requisition closing audits to ensure compliance with employment processes
Ensuring ATS properly integrates with other systems (e.g., SAP, drug and background screen vendor)
Traveling twice a year to quarterly business reviews with our RPO, along with selected on-campus and plant recruitment events
Required Qualifications for the Talent Acquisition Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or another related field
3+ years in one or more HR capacities (generalist, specialist, recruiter, HRIS)
Experience with SuccessFactors or other ATS systems
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and ability to manage highly confidential information
Strong analytical skills in order to manage processes, analyze data, make recommendations, and drive improvements
Robust communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of employment law and regulations related to hiring and equal opportunity employment
Desired Qualifications for the Talent Acquisition Specialist:
Experience leading college recruitment efforts
Knowledge of full-time recruitment and affirmative action
