INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT: The Office of the Attorney General, Department of Legal Affairs (OAG) is a pre-eminent, constitutional office, which serves as the chief lawyer to all state agencies and provides legal protections for Floridians against fraud and through the enforcement of the state’s laws. The OAG, is a cabinet agency in the executive branch of Florida state government.

OAG employees are paid biweekly. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional or technical experience in areas such as training; analyzing, developing and measuring instructional training programs; teaching; curriculum development; staff development; research; program evaluation; personnel; or criminal justice. A master's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of professional or technical experience as described above. A juris doctorate or doctorate from an accredited college or university and one year of professional, technical experience as described above. Professional or technical experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the Victims Advocacy & Grants Management unit. This position requires some travel. This position will conduct research, develop and implement educational programs with primary emphasis on both internal and external training to advance the delivery of services to the specialized program area; keep abreast of laws, applicable administrative rules and trends and provide recommendations for adapting or initiating new methods, techniques and programs for assisting crime victims and victim service providers; coordinate and deliver training and outreach presentations to Division employees and the general public regarding professional skills development; and complete special assignments and perform related duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Preference will be given to individuals with training experience; knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required; ability to prepare and maintain accurate information, ability to conduct public presentations, ability to efficiently multitask in a busy work environment, problem solve, work independently, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Must have the ability to understand and apply applicable protocols, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. During the interview process applicants should be prepared to present a 5 slide powerpoint presentation regarding Professional Development.
